Contest Information

Contests are open to all current students at The University of Western Ontario and current employees of The University of Western Ontario with the exception of those that are employed by The Office of the Registrar, Teaching Support Services, Student Services Support Group, Student Success Centre, or the Student Development Centre.

Selected entrants must be able to prove that he/she is the sole person responsible for and has access to the selected Twitter account. Organizations and groups are ineligible. 


How to Enter

Individuals who meet eligibility requirements may enter by following @westernuSE on Twitter, provided the individual is the sole owner of their username.

No other method of contest entry will be accepted. 



A winning Twitter user will be chosen at random; for example, by potentially using the software Twitrand ( to ensure impartiality. If it is evident that the user selected is ineligible to win, determined by Western Student Services, then that user will be removed/excluded and a new winner will be chosen. 



There will be multiple prize draws throughout the academic year. Entrants will be informed of deadlines and prizes as the contest approaches.
In the event that a selected entrant does not meet or comply with these Contest Terms and Conditions, or cannot be contacted within two weeks of his/her selection, an alternative entrant will be selected from the remaining entries. The prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. All federal, provincial and municipal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

To claim a prize, the selected entrant must agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Prizes must be claimed no later than 60 days after the selected entrant is notified of his or her winning entry. In the event that the selected entrant does not claim the prize in the allotted time period, he or she will forfeit the prize.
